Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 6:000am- 2:30pm

The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness and neatness of assigned apartments and common areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• General housekeeping duties in apartments, such as: vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces.
• General housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by supervisor.
• Maintenance of all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Maintenance of public areas assigned by Supervisor.
• Cleaning empty units as assigned by Supervisor.
• Cross-training with Laundry as needed.

Qualifications:

• At least one-year previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, or retirement community.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively with Residents, and perform simple math.

Physical Work Requirements/Conditions:

Moderate to heavy physical effort 95% of the work day. Must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, squat, stand, and walk for up to up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching and stretching. Must be able to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residents. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. When lifting over 35 lbs, you are required to ask for assistance. Must be able to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment generally weighing up to 200 lbs. over tiled and carpeted surfaces for long distances. May be exposed to communicable diseases including HIV and Hepatitis B viruses; industrial and household chemicals; offensive odors; and high heat levels.
